The boil water advisory has been lifted. The water tested fine, and you can consume the water.
The Town is currently working with the Public Service Commission (PSC) to increase the water and sewage rates. You can view both Ordinances below for the increases. We do not foresee the increases going into effect until sometime in February; however, we will keep our customers informed of our progress with PSC.
Utility bills are issued one month after the service period. For example, you will receive a bill in January for utilities used in December, and payment is typically due by the 7th of the next month (February). If payment is not received and posted by the due date, a late notice (red bill) with late charges will be sent to the customer. This late bill requires immediate payment to prevent a shut-off notice from being issued.
